Samsung launched its trio of the Galaxy S20 series- Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra. All three models differ in size, which brings us to the focus of Samsung to serve a diverse range of people with varying requirements.

Design

The Galaxy S20 Ultra is Samsung’s biggest Android phone that you can own right now. Also, Samsung claimed the Galaxy S20 Ultra to be the world’s most advanced 5G smartphone with the best camera features.

On the front, the Galaxy S20 Ultra features a tiny punch-hole cutout to house the selfie camera. The best part is you’ll witness almost no bezels, offering you a more immersive screen setup than before.

The Galaxy S20 Ultra offers a super-sized 6.9-inch, Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O display at Quad HD+ resolution. You’ll witness a stunning screen with the advanced brightness levels and support of new display standards such as HDR10+. 

It’s worth noting that the screen is noticeably taller, but not wider, expanding to a 20:9 aspect ratio. Despite being large, you can still grip the Galaxy S20 Ultra with just one hand. But, to comfortably access all corners of your display, you’ll have to operate your smartphone with both hands.

The Galaxy S20 Ultra offers you a 120Hz refresh rate, which even outclasses the gorgeousness of the OnePlus 7T series. Whether you’re scrolling or switching between multiple apps, the navigation and transitions are buttery smooth.

You can switch between the 120Hz and the default 60Hz refresh rate. However, like the Galaxy S20 and S20+, the 120Hz refresh rate would work only with the Full HD+ resolution. The native QHD+ is automatically capped at the 60Hz refresh rate.

Camera

Here comes the big sell of the Galaxy S20 Ultra- the imaging department. Honestly, the rear camera of a smartphone is the signature design element that helps make the overall look of the phone, and it’s the prime thing that stands out when you flip the phone.

And with the Galaxy S20 Ultra, Samsung has gone farther to introduce a powerful quad-camera setup with an eye-popping 108MP wide-angle main sensor, combined with a 48MP telephoto, a 12MP ultra-wide, and ToF DepthVision sensors.

Also, with the introduction of AI-powered Single Take feature, you can shoot for up to 10 seconds, and then get back to choose the best style for that moment, without having to reshoot. I’m sure people are going to love this feature. The entire credit goes to the sophisticated AI, the Super Steady stabilization now incorporates anti-rolling correction, up to 60 degrees.

5G support and Battery

In 2019, a mere 1% of smartphones were shipped with the 5G support, so for most people, the 5G-enabled smartphones are very new tech. And, the Galaxy S20 Ultra offers you 5G support, along with LTE. So, we can assume that the Galaxy S20 lineup is designed to be future proof.

The Galaxy S20 Ultra being at the top of the S20 series ladder is packed with an enormous 5,000mAh battery. This is definitely an advantage here, as the 5G devices hogs battery life. Additionally, the Galaxy S20 Ultra will offer wireless charging and reverse wireless charging too.

Performance

The Galaxy S20 Ultra runs on Samsung’s best-in-class OneUI 2.0 skin, which truly delivers a top-tier user-experience. 

In terms of innards, as we would expect from a super-premium flagship, the Galaxy S20 Ultra is absolutely stacked. The smartphone is powered by the new Samsung Exynos 990. And, for the US, Samsung will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset. The smartphone features a whopping 16GB RAM (in the max specs) and a satisfying 512GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB via microSD card.
