A recent live stream video of MSI on YouTube has unintentionally leaked some key details about Intel’s upcoming CPUs. At the time of writing this piece, the video has been made private, but the screenshots attached below confirm the core counts, expected performance, and the names of Intel’s next lineup of processors i.e. Raptor Lake Refresh.
The leak further confirms that the upcoming CPU lineup will offer minor improvements over the Raptor Lake processors unveiled last year. Intel’s 14th Gen processors will be around three percent faster than their predecessors. It will come with the same architecture, core counts, and 10nm Intel 7 process. However, there are some changes made to the i7-14700K. It will deliver around 17% faster performance than its 13th Gen counterpart, thanks to four extra efficiency cores. In addition, the video also confirms that the next-gen chips will also come with higher DDR5 memory frequency.
The news about Intel’s 14th Gen processor is further supported by a minor leak from Asus. Renowned leaker Momono came across a webpage on the company’s official website which is advertising the Asus Z790, H700, and B760 motherboards. The page title of the ad page further mentioned that all the motherboards would support the 14th-gen Raptor Lake-S Refresh as well as the 13th and 12th-gen Intel processors.
We also checked the same by visiting the said webpage and found a lengthy page title that mentions ‘Intel 14th Gen Raptor Lake-S Refresh”. You can check the screenshot below.
It is worth mentioning that Intel hasn’t revealed much about the next-gen processors. However, Team Blue is rumored to launch them at the two-day Innovation 2023 event scheduled for 19th and 20th September.
