Acer announces new OLED gaming monitors at CES 2023

If you are into PC or console gaming, you might be looking for brilliant picture quality and contrast along with faster refresh rates and response times. Well, there are going to be two additional options available, thanks to Acer. At CES 2023, Acer unveiled a new 45-inch OLED gaming monitor called the Predator X45. It is an ultrawide gaming monitor that comes with an OLED panel which Acer claims is insanely bright and contrasty. And, we think it could be one of the best gaming monitors of 2023. Alienware 34 QD-OLED. The Predator X45 comes with a 3440 x 1440 resolution, in other terms you can call it UWQHD. Besides, it has a peak brightness of 1000 nits. As far as color technology is concerned, the Predator X45 comes with 98.5% coverage of the DCI-P3 professional color space. It should be noted that Acer hasn’t announced any HDR certification yet. That’s not all, the Acer Predator X45 also comes with a high refresh rate of 240Hz, and a response time of 0.01 ms, which is incredibly fast. Let’s not forget that this curved gaming monitor comes with an aggressive 800R curve, similar to the LG UltraGear 45-inch OLED monitor we saw in December 2022. Since Acer aims at delivering gaming performance with this monitor, it has incorporated AMD FreeSync Premium to prevent screen tearing. It also has a KVM switch that lets you switch between keyboard and mouse between multiple inputs. Talking of ports, Acer says the Predator X45 houses a DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.0 ports.

Acer Predator X45 OLED Gaming Monitor Price and Availability

Acer says that the Predator X45 OLED will be available in North America in Q2. It will be priced at $1699. The company also unveiled that this gaming monitor will be available in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) in Q2, starting at € 1799. Whereas, it will be available in China in Q1, at a starting price of RMB (Chinese Yuan) 12,999.

Acer also released another smaller and flatter OLED gaming monitor at the event. It is considerably smaller in size and has a flat design as compared to the Predator X45. This OLED gaming monitor comes with a 27-inch WQHD display that comes with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels and a refresh rate of 240Hz. It has a response time of 0.01 ms. This 1440p gaming monitor comes with 98.5% DCI-P3 coverage and HDR10 certification for life-like visuals. Plus, it has a maximum peak brightness of 1000 nits. On top of that, this OLED gaming monitor also comes with TÜV Rheinland EyeSafe certification which makes it an ideal choice for the gamer who is hooked to the screen almost all day. Similar to the Predator X45, this monitor is also backed by AMD FreeSync Premium technology to prevent screen tearing and distortion while gaming. Acer Predator X27U OLED Gaming Monitor: Price and Availability 

The Predator X27U will be available for North Americans at a starting price of $1,099 in the second quarter. Plus, it will be available in the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at starting price of €1,099, also in the second quarter. Also, Acer says that this gaming monitor will be available at RMB (Chinese Yuan) 7999 in the first quarter in China.
