Asus has recently announced several ROG gaming laptops at CES 2023. The ROG Strix gaming lineup includes Asus ROG Strix G 18, ROG Strix Scar 18, and their 16-inch models. If you’ve missed the coverage, keep reading. We have talked about these gaming laptops.
Asus ROG Strix G18 & ROG Strix Scar 18 Specs: Display, Processor, and Storage
As far as specs are concerned, both 18-inch models of Strix G18 and Scar 18 feature ROG Nebula QHD+ anti-glare display which is capable of up to 1,100 nits brightness. All the models under both series are compatible with Dolby Vision and ship with 240Hz refresh rate and 3 ms response time. Asus also mentioned that these gaming laptops come with up to Intel Core i9 (13th Gen)
processor for top-notch performance. Plus, these laptops will use Nvidia GeForce RTX 40-series GPU. Further, they are available with up to 64GB DDR5 RAM and up to 2TB of SSD storage.

Asus ROG Strix G 18 & ROG Strix Scar 18 Port Availability
Talking of ports, the ROG Strix G 18 and ROG Strix Scar 18 share plenty of common I/O (input/output) ports. You will find 1x 3.5mm Combo Audio Jack, 1x HDMI 2.1 FRL port, 1x 2.5G LAN port, 1x Thunderbolt 4 port that supports DisplayPort, and 1x USB Type-C 3.2 Gen which can be used for powering the laptops. That’s not all, you’ll find a couple of USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports in these models, too.

Asus 16-inch ROG Strix G and ROG Strix Scar is the replica of its big brother with a smaller display
Let’s not forget that Asus has also introduced the updated 16-inch models for both Strix G and Strix Scar with similar features as the 18-inch models. That’s not all, there are almost similar ports as the 18-inch model. We can confirm that the 16-inch model is just the baby brother of the top-end model and nothing else.
Asus ROG Strix G 18 & ROG Strix Scar 18 Price and Availability
We haven’t heard anything about the pricing and availability of the ROG Strix G and Strix Scar, as we write. It would be interesting to see how these replica models will differ in daily usage. But, by the looks of it, we can tell that the ROG Strix Scar 18 looks and feels a little more premium in comparison to others and is supposed to cost more.
